MODERN WESTERNS

MODERN WESTERNS
These are Westerns set in the time period of the film’s production and refer back to the Western moment. Films of the classic Western period such as Giant (1956) and The Misfits (1961) exemplify the genre well. Brokeback Mountain (2005) is a good example of a modern alternative Western.
